Jobs in the medieval ages

Squires used to work for knights. Their job was to help the knights, and clean the dirty armor suit.They had to clean it with urine(because it had ammonia), vinegar, and sand. After the battle was over, Archers had to look for half dead bodies then kill them, because they would die a slow, painful death anyway. In the middle ages, they used leeches to suck your blood out. They believed it would suck the bad out. The person collected leeches was called the Leech Collector. Barber surgeons would basically have two jobs, a job of a barber and a job of a doctor. The reason they did this was that they already had the materials.They would pour the medicine through a tube through the butt hole. Then there was someone known as the "Wise" lady. They would give you weird things to help cure your sicknesses. For Ex:They would put live worms on your throat to cure your sore throat.When those worms died they believed your sore throat would get cured. To build Cathedrals they needed mortar, clay and lime. To make lime they needed to burn chalk. But the problem was that when you burn chalk it gives off carbon monoxide which is deadly. The treadmill workers were usually blind people because these treadmills were on top of buildings and the blind people wouldn't be afraid.They would use treadmills to lift up stuff. And then there were people known as fullers. Because wool fabric is greasy,they have to process it to make it a tighter material. For that they used water, urine(to grease it and because it had ammonia). And they would keep on stepping on it for a long time.

I think the worst job is building a Cathedral because they didn't have modern technology like we do so there was a risk of dying .They had to burn chalk and it gave off carbon monoxide but they didn't have any safety equipment back then. So a lot of them died while working there. So that is the reason I think that it is the worst job.

If I had to choose any job to do I would choose to work on the treadmill. I know it's quite scary but I don't think it's as gross as other jobs. And I think it is easier than other jobs too.The only thing I would have to do is walk on the treadmill. It should be ok as long as you're blindfolded and make sure the treadmill is steady enough.

In Feudalism basically there is this King who owns everything, then he spreads his kingdom amongst his friends called the Lords.Who in turn give their land to the Vassels to be taken care of. And the king also gives part of the land to the Church. Then those Vassels will get Knights to live in the land to train. After that those knights are too busy so they need someone to cook and clean their houses so then the people who do these things are called Serfs, basically the lowest of the low.
